Which should I choose?

Unemployment Only

I am worried about my job, and would like to be sure that if I do lose my job my mortgage and my loans are paid for, plus I would like something extra in my pocket to cover household bills, I have a good sick pay scheme at work and do not want to go to the additional expense of insuring for Accident & Sickness when I already have adequate cover from my employer. Accident & Sickness Only

I am Self Employed, and if I do not work there will be no money coming in to cover my essential bills. A friend of mine who is also Self Employed broke his leg falling off a ladder and could not work for nearly six months, it was a real struggle for him. I do not want to be in the same position myself so I want to be sure I do not get into the same kind of difficulties.

Accident, Sickness & Unemployment

I am worried about my job, also if I am off sick my employer only pays me Statutory Sick Pay, even though I have been working there for 7 years. I want to be sure that if I can’t work or I am made redundant I will be able to pay my rent or loan plus something extra to pay for other essentials.

Argent Consulting would recommend in this case, payment from day 1 for Accident & Sickness and on the basis of a minimum of 4 weeks redundancy, pay the 30 day excess for Unemployment. This will minimise the cost, but ensure you have the correct amount of cover should the need arise.
